Do you ever feel like you’re going in circles and not making any progress? At least not the kind of progress you were expecting.
Are the constant demands of our world pulling you in a million different ways, causing you to question if you’re headed in the right direction?
If you’re like me, you have plans and dreams you want to fulfill. But life is confusing at times. And most days it seems like you’re just surviving instead of living out those dreams or accomplishing your goals.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to wake up every morning and be assured you’re on the right path towards your goals? To know with certainty that you’re headed in the right direction? To feel confident with each step, without constantly questioning yourself?
Too many times I’ve second-guessed a decision or wrestled with what to do.
I used to try figuring things out on my own, but that would only lead to frustration, worry and unwanted stress.
Over time I learned a much better approach. Instead of trying to figure things out on my own, I would go to God first in prayer and ask Him for help.
“Show me the right path, Oh LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you” (Psalm 25:4-5).
As I spend time praying, reading my Bible and waiting on direction from God, I become less stressed and more peaceful.
My circumstances don’t always change right away, but my heart and attitude does. I find myself worrying less and worshipping God more for His goodness and grace.
God’s Truth always has an answer to our uncertainty when it comes to heading in the right direction.
“The LORD is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way. The LORD leads with unfailing love and faithfulness to all who keep His covenant and obey his demands” (Psalms 25:8-10).
If you’re unsure about some things in your life, don’t wait another day to figure it out on your own. Make sure your heart is in the right place, and then ask God to help you. Once you’ve asked, trust that God is directing you.
If you know you’ve gotten on the wrong path, seek God for direction instead of looking to the world for answers. As you take steps to follow and obey God’s voice, He will lovingly show you the way.
Dear Lord, Help my sweet friend come to You when she’s in need of direction. Remind her that the world can’t offer what she deeply longs for and doesn’t hold her future, but You certainly do. Thank you for guiding her today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Memory Verse:
Psalm 32:8, “The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.’” (NLT)

Hello Leah! This is the first that I have heard of Proverbs 31 Ministries. I absolutely love it! As I began reading your blog, it was as if I had written it, as if you had read my mind and were sharing what I feel. Thank you for putting into words what I feel and for encouraging me with scripture. Many times, I feel like a “lone ranger”, the only one who feels this way. Thank you for reminding me that I am not alone. I spend a lot of my time encouraging women and share a lot of what you just shared. I need just as much encouragement as those that I encourage on a weekly basis. I look forward to reading all of your blogs and your daily devotionals! As you all encourage me and share your wisdom, it will help me share this wealth of wisdom with other women. May the Lord continue to bless you all in your service to Him!

Ruthie, thank you for encouraging me today with your gift of words! I’m so glad you’re enjoying my blog and that God is using it to remind you that you’re not a “lone ranger”. Honestly, I think many women feel that way. I know I do sometimes and that’s one of the beautiful things about this community I’ve tried to create. I wanted an online place where women would come together and share their thoughts on a specific topic. I try to give voice to what many women are thinking, but don’t always express.
I look forward to connecting with you in the weeks ahead! 🙂
I pray that as you serve the women God has entrusted to you, they would come to know Him more as Lord and Savior.

Oh Leah! This was a beautiful post today! Your Scripture verses and words go right along with what I have been praying about. I started the P31 OBS “Before Amen” by Max Lucado and have increased my awareness of seeking God first before I seek anywhere else! Even my own self! Gonna journal these verses and pray for increased awareness of His Presence and the Holy Spirit! I love when God speaks to me in so many ways! God bless!
