Just Wanted To Say Hello

Hi Friends,

How did we get to the end of this week so quickly? It’s Friday, right? Is it just me or has this week flown by?!?!

I wanted to hop online and apologize for not posting anything yesterday. I tried my hardest to complete a post this afternoon and I’m happy with how it’s coming out but I’m not ready to hit the send button just yet. After all, I’m sure you’ve got plenty of other things to read as you springboard into your weekend ahead.

I did want you to know that I’ve been thinking about you and praying for you this week. If you have any new prayer requests, please leave a comment below so that I can be praying for you.

Also, just for fun, I thought we could all share our exciting plans for the weekend.  I share mine – you share yours. I’ll go first…

I’m going to Pig Roast! Yep, giant pig on a giant rotisseri-thingy. Head and all. Our friends have hosted this community shin-dig for the last 8 years and we’ve gone every single time.  Wouldn’t miss it for the world. I always pass on the pig but love the side fixins and yummy desserts. It’s a great way to kick off the fall and football season here in North Carolina.

Okay, it’s your turn…

Do you have any special plans this weekend? If so, what are you up to, where are you going and who is going with you?  Do tell!

  1. Hi Leah, I saw this link on Twitter and thought I’d come over and say ‘hi’. I’ve been thinking about you (and Renee) a lot lately, as we start planning again for Winter Interlude at the church. It was so wonderful to see you both years ago.

As for my plans this weekend, I’m doing the Walk of Hope for Ovarian Cancer tomorrow morning. This will be my third year to participate. I was at the cancer center the end of July, and the Lord has continued His healing Hand on me. I am so thankful.

Lifting you in prayer right now and thanking the Lord for you.
    Blessings and love,

    • Joy, it’s great hearing from you! I’m celebrating your good news of being cancer free yet another year. God is so good and I know He’s using your story to bring many women hope while they walk the same tough journey you embraced 2+years ago. I’m praying for your team as preparations begin for Winter Interlude 2014. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing! Leah

  2. Our son is coming home from college, so we’re really looking forward to seeing him this weekend!
